I've been M.I.A. for the last couple of weeks. So, here's a summary. I've taken some naps, watched Vampire Diaries, and went to class. Just like all of you, except, I've also visited Málaga and Barcelona... If you ever get the chance to visit Málaga, here are some places to see. Málaga

Cookies: a little kid's dream, but an adult’s nightmare. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE cookies, but I’m getting to that age where sugar is the devil. So, here’s the problem, we eat cookies for breakfast! So, I just convince myself it’s healthy, and then I feel better about myself. How are these people so skinny if they eat cookies and bread all day? I’ll have to figure out the secret. Also, working out is out of the question.
Since I have hardly any time to work out, you can understand why I haven’t had time to write a blog every day. I’ve decided to write once or twice a week.
What have I been doing for a week?! Answer: A lot
Madrid is beautiful. There is a lot of beautiful buildings, parks and palaces. For the most part, we've just been roaming around, trying to transition from tourist to local. But, that won't happen for awhile. Why? We're still learning the language and area.
For example, we asked for "el cheque," when check isn't "cheque," it's "la cuenta."
We crossed the street, and almost got hit by a car. Many times.
We were 15 minutes late to a meeting, because the train was confusing!
We cry because our feet hurt from wedges, when other women wear 6 inch heels and stay out all night.
We order Domino's pizza...
We get excited when we hear other people speaking English.
We take pictures of everything, and look like tourists.
Although it's exciting, new, and sometimes difficult, we are so glad to have this opportunity! Here are some pictures of our adventure so far. Don't worry, there's more to come.
Chao,
Miz Mak
